Federal Highway, Ft. Lauderdale veg restaurant: Sublime
Gateway Shopping Plaza, cool place, Vintage store there, excellent used CD store, Thai Restaurant, Japanese Restaurant, Mexican restaurant, little sushi bar in the back of a Japanese grocery store. all independently owned and operated. Not a corporation in sight. Best Chiropractor in South Florida (pay what you can afford, Jesse Rogers) just around the corner.

Gateway from War Memorial: Head north on Federal Highway to Sunrise and head east on Sunrise until it hits Federal Highway North. Keep on going east (stay in right lane) pass the movie theater and then one short block later on right side is Gateway. About 11/2 miles from War memorial. If you're going to walk this, only do it during the day. Semi-funky area, but cool during the day.
